Jumbo’s sculpture for the rooftop of the RiverRenew Pumping Station, “Meander”, is a testament to AlexRenew’s commitment to eliminate sewage discharges to the Potomac. Formed
from a single sheet of 1-inch thick stainless steel,
the sculputure is cut, bent and twisted
to suggest the slow winding curve of a river. The work represents Jumbo’s ongoing efforts to achieve the maximum expression with the least material effort.
